Dark Angell Organic Fair Trade Vegan Candy Bar

In a few weeks, J & I will be moving to a plant based diet, AKA Vegan. We are moving towards this dietary direction for health reasons after watching Forks Over Knives, and reading the companion book by Prevent & Reverse Heart Disease by Caldwell B. Esselstyn. It’s an experiment to see if we can change some of J’s blood panel numbers, and to get his weight down a little more.

We are almost finished consuming the non-vegan food that hides in our larder, and I’ve been searching for candy that we can have as occasional treats.

I fell in love with the Crispy Angell recently, and was happy to discover that the Dark Angell candy bar was vegan, as well as organic and fair trade.

Angell Organic Candy was founded by a husband-wife team who source fair-trade and organic ingredients to make quality candy. Their products have no artificial flavors, no-HFCS, no GMO, and no preservatives.

Dark Angell is a smooth combination of cocoa and almonds surround by a dark chocolate coating. This candy bar is one of the better vegan candies I’ve had. It’s certainly calms my sweet tooth cravings, and I’ll be partaking in more of these fabulous Dark Angell bars from time to time.
